Alt Empordà Sea Walking 2025: An immersion in the heart of hiking and nature

On September 27 and 28, 2025, the 7th edition of the Alt Empordà Sea Walking will be held, a festival that invites you to discover the essence of this territory through hiking, nature, local products and culture. Organized by Itinerànnia and Empordà Turisme, among others, the event offers guided outings that travel through protected landscapes, coastal paths, wetlands, dry stone and historical monuments. The most outstanding proposals include the Route from Sant Martí d'Empúries to Mar Manassa with anchovy and DO Empordà wine tasting, an experience that combines sea, landscape and local produce; the Discovery of the fauna and flora of Cortalet al Bruel, especially recommended for nature lovers, and the route "Sea and mountain: from the beach to Sant Miquel de Colera", which allows you to enjoy the contrast between coast and mountain. There are also routes that capture the cultural and traditional spirit, such as “1,2,3 the Medieval Empordanese”, “The Roman Quarries of the Camí de Ronda”, and a “Ruta de Pedra Seca a Llançà amb tast”, which aim to show the landscape, history and local gastronomy. The Alt Empordà is “the first place where the Pyrenees see the sun when it rises”, and an ideal place to enjoy spectacular landscapes, well-preserved paths and local guides who convey the essence of the territory. In addition to the physical and landscape aspect, the festival is committed to the sensory experience: tastings of local products and DO, and an intimate connection with the natural environment. The outings start in the morning (around 9:00 am) and some in the afternoon (4:30 pm), depending on the activity.
